``Hot Rod`` is Ready
Chowchilla, CA - Eric “Hot Rod” Humphries, and the # 25 T.O.E Performance/Red Line Oil Ford has high hopes going into the 28th annual October Classic at Bakersfield’s Mesa Marin Raceway. The nineteen year old has been waiting two years to start a Grand National Division race at the famed October Classic. Humphries got his first taste of the October Classic two years ago after finishing fifth in a spec truck.
“After our test day I feel very confident with the # 25 T.O.E Performance/Red Line Oil Ford,” Humphries Said. “ We are still going to making some minor changes to the car for preparation of race day. We are looking for at least a top ten finish; with all the great drivers that will be racing this weekend, it would be an honor to finish in the top 5 on the lead lap. I want to thank all my friends and family that have supported me, and especially my Mom, Dad and Brother”
This weekend will be Humphries second start in a NASCAR Grand National Division – West Series event this season. The # 25 T.O.E Performance/Red Line Oil Ford team came home in seventh position during the August race at Stockton 99. Humphries has run two full seasons in the Western Late Model Division at Stockton 99. In 2004, he was honored with Rookie of the Year Award, and in 2005 he walked away with two wins, as well as sixth position in points. Humphries will be ready for the pressure ahead of him this weekend. Humphries has competed in many national level Go-Karting events, such as the World Finals, which was broadcasted on HD Net where Humphries finished in third position.
